Children's Programs

At the United Church of Gainesville, our children are a vital part of the life of our church. Our mission is to provide a spiritual foundation for the children, a network of support for families, and opportunities for the children of UCG to be active participants in the life of the congregation. All who enter our doors are lovingly welcomed.

Child Safety and Protection Policy

As a pledge of our commitment to the safety of our children, we have adopted these guidelines:

All Children’s Board members, preschool teachers, and church school guides complete a Volunteer’s Application Form and a Level One Background Screening. 

All Child Care Aides and paid Children’s Program Staff have background checks, Child Safety and Protection, CPR and First Aide training.

Children 5th grade and younger have adult supervision at all times.

Parents need to remain on Church grounds while their children participate in church school and activity time.

Because we have children in the congregation who have life threatening allergies, we ask that no outside food or drink be brought to Church School or Activity Time.
