Thich Nhat Hanh writes “To take care of ourselves is to take care of our whole community” and “If you can stop and establish yourself in the here and the now, you will see there are many elements of happiness available in this moment, more than enough for you to be happy.” A one-day silent meditation retreat will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017. During this retreat, we will examine the nature of and practice the cultivation of the seeds of healing and true happiness. We will enjoy, together, the practices of sitting meditation, walking meditation, a silent meal, mindful movement, deep relaxation, mindful sharing, and mindful listening. There is no cost to attend this retreat although donations will be accepted in the spirit of dana (generosity) and will be used by UCG to support the mission of the church. Bring your own lunch. Once we have confirmed your attendance, you will be contacted and provided additional information about the retreat.
