Happy Fall, MST and YU!

We have already kicked off our “skill-building” units with lessons in babysitting for our middle-schoolers, and are firing up the power tools with YU to frame new walls going up in the Youth Room. In the coming weeks, we look forward to honing our cooking skills, learning about car maintenance, and practicing our outdoor survival skills. The most up-to-date youth group details will be in your weekly emails and text reminders, but please mark your calendars for the following dates:

October 12: We will host our first Work Tour Families’ meeting from 2:15 – 3 p.m. in the West Wing. We will share more details about our plan to return to Appalachia Service Project (ASP), as well as discuss fundraising, estimated costs, and other pertinent details. Last time we served with ASP, we had youth repairing roofs, hanging drywall, rewiring electrical outlets, installing flooring – with a few ice cream socials, picnics, white-water rafting, and campfires mixed in. Please join us and learn more about ways to get involved with Work Tour 2026!

October 19: Honoring Shay’s 25 years with UCG at a potluck breakfast; youth group will be at 12:30 p.m. Please sign up here to contribute to Shay’s breakfast!

October 26: Annual Halloween Carnival for Kids United. Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. to set up your stations.  More details to follow!

November 2: Annual Pride Brunch after the service.
