May 3 – All-Church Retreat – no seminar
May 10 -“Deep Listening” with Ali Martinez – In a world that so often makes us feel like we are clouded by darkness and drowning in demand, it can be difficult to truly sit with one another and find space for genuine connection. This workshop explores how deep listening and empathy create community, offering not only connection with others but also a healing reminder that we are not alone in our strain nor our struggles.
May 17 – Spring congregational meeting – no seminar
May 24 – “Separation of Church and Hate” with Comedian and writer, John Fugelsang will discuss his bestselling 2025 book, Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person’s Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Seeking Frauds described as an irreverent and biblically correct take-down of far-right Christian hatred–a book for believers, atheists, agnostics, and anyone who’ll ever have to deal with a Christian nationalists.
May 31 – “Improvisational Self-Care” with Jennifer Pritchett – This Improvisational Self-Care seminar blends theater-based spontaneity, psychodrama and wellness, to foster adaptability, stress reduction, and self-compassion. Activities might include collaborative, low-stakes creative games aimed at reducing the tendency to self-critique and control every aspect of life. And have fun.
June 7 – “Meditations on Money” with Rev. Dr. Donna Schaper, our own prolific writer will discuss her latest book: Meditations on Money: A Spiritual and Practical Guide to Peace of Mind.
