New Member Introductions
Welcome of New Members by UCG Moderator, Rebecca Beachy
*Reading of the Compact:
We join as a spiritual community to worship God, however known;
to welcome into our church those of differing understanding and theological opinion;
to learn from our religious heritage, yet to grow by seeking new dimensions of truth;
to follow, even imperfectly, the way of Jesus in personal involvement with each other;
and, strengthened by this bond, to act in Christian concern for the welfare of all people.
*Prayer for New Members and a Shared Blessing
Song of Welcome: “They’ll Know We’re God’s People by our Love”
We are one in the spirit, we are one in the Lord (2x)
And we pray that all unity will one day be restored,
Chorus: And they’ll know we’re God’s people by our love, by our love (2x)
We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand, (2x)
And together we’ll spread the news that God is in our land,
Chorus
We will work with each other; we will work side by side (x2)
And we’ll guard each one’s dignity and save each one’s pride.
Chorus
All praise the Creator, from whom all things come, And all praise to Christ Jesus who makes us one,
And all praise to the Spirit, that makes us one.
Chorus
Reading from Isaiah, 65:21-25, read by Gary Kirkland

Eat Local, Grow Hope Global is in the final four days of a five-week project to raise awareness of food insecurity. Please support and thank our local partners: Frog Song Organics, Land of Flowers, Swallowtail Farm and Vine Sourdough Bakery. All can be found at several local farmers markets and most partners have online sales.
Eat Local, Grow Hope Global is an annual outreach of the Compassion in Action Committee. The project is now in its second year. Zoom together for the Sunday Seminar on November 15 at 11:15 AM to discuss the local and global aspects of food insecurity. We are acting together to ensure access to local food. We are giving together to improve access to food for our global neighbors in Guatemala. And we are growing hope together as we put compassion in action.
Donate to Growing Hope Globally during a drive by Eat Local, Grow Hope Global celebration at UCG on November 19, 4:30 – 6:00pm, and receive an illustrated cookbook of soup and salad recipes from UCGers and our partners.
Rawlings Christmas Angel Gift Market
Thank you so much for donating to the Rawlings gift market. This is a highly anticipated event at Rawlings and parents have been asking for the past month if it is going to happen again this year. In a time of financial hardship, this event is more important than ever. Please use the link to Sign-up Genius here to indicate which gifts you will purchase. Please drop them off unwrapped at UCG in the parking lot on December 6 or 13 between 11 and 1 or in Seminar B on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 10 and 2 the weeks of November 29 or December 6. It would be very helpful if you could include a cloth shopping bag or sturdy paper bag with handles (like those from Trader Joe’s) that parents can use for shopping. Blessings to you for being a Christmas Angel!
