Congratulations 2021 Graduates

Judah Bachmann is graduating high school after a year of dual enrollment and will be attending Florida State University. He plans on double majoring in studio art and political science and hopes to continue learning languages through involvement in clubs at FSU. 

Tesslyn Dahl graduated from Gainesville High School in the Cambridge Program. She will be attending the University of Florida and plans on majoring in health sciences on a pre-med track.

Jhett Hill is graduating from Buchholz High School / Academy of Entrepreneurship with an AP Capstone Diploma. He will be attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN – “Anchor Down!” – in the fall as a Chancellor’s Scholar and plans to major in Environmental Sociology / Environmental Sciences. He intends to learn much about conservation, sustainability and policy (along with all other Nashville relevant university-life teachings) and do a summer abroad in New Zealand. He intends to go to Law School for post-grad to pursue Conservation / Environmental Law as my ultimate profession. The blessing that is UCG infused opportunities of service and reflection into my childhood that would never have been possible outside of this community.

Eden Ivines: Though having to take a semester off due to thyroid cancer, he is only a few weeks behind for his graduation date. He will continue to finish his classes. After that he is going to take a year off to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Right now phlebotomy sounds like fun.

Anja Julian is graduating from Eastside High School, and will attend the University of Florida. She plans to study either disease ecology, or the history of disease. 

Xander Kiker is graduating from Gainesville High School. He will be attending Santa Fe College in the fall with plans to become a GIS analyst.

Jillian Provost is graduating from the Eastside High School IB Program. In the fall, she will attend Rollins College where she plans to major in marine biology.

Ian Ragsdale is graduating from Gainesville High School Cambridge Program. In the fall, he will attend Florida State University where he plans to major in electrical engineering, journalism, or whatever else seems interesting.

Avery Sperbeck is graduating from the Gainesville High School Cambridge Program.  He will attend the University of Florida with a major in Finance.

Shelby Hall, our Member in Discernment, graduated on May 14 with a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She specialized in two areas, Chaplaincy and Society & Personality. Following graduation, she will be working as a Resident Chaplain at Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods, focusing on geriatric care and mental health chaplaincy.
