Volunteers are now available to assist persons with mobility challenges from the drive-up in front of the UCG courtyard into the Sanctuary. If you are a wheelchair or walker user or have a health condition that makes the walk from the parking lot to the Sanctuary a difficult one, we can meet you out front and loan you a walker or wheelchair to make the trip in a little easier. Traveling alone? With your permission we will park your car for you and go retrieve it after the service. Also, if you prefer your own walker we can help unload it for you.
Please call or text Dar Mikula (352-359-4041) directly ahead of time to make arrangements and we’ll plan to meet you out front. A 24-hour notice is preferred but we will help you even if you wake up Sunday morning and decide in the spur of the moment to attend the worship service.
Reminder: If you don’t quite need this level of assistance but would like to be able to park closer, we have set aside additional spaces in the East lot marked and reserved for folks with Disabled Person Parking Permits, and there are a couple spaces in the West lot signed for this purpose as well.
