We’re all aware of the importance of our clergy for the spiritual, physical, and fiscal health of our church. Our ministers lead us in worship; come to our bedsides when we are ill; coordinate the work of a host of boards and committees; lead us in visioning the future of the church; represent our community to the larger world; and in general are the spark plugs which ignite the fuel that we all bring to UCG (how’s that for a metaphor stretch?!). Accordingly, CMRB encourages you to remember Bromleigh, Andy, Talia, Sandy, and Larry this Advent season. This is a busy time of year for them all, and caps off a particularly challenging 18 months. Whether it’s a card, a phone call, or a small gift, any way that you might choose to show your appreciation for these folks will go a long way.
In addition, make sure to welcome Andy Bachmann in December as he returns from his sabbatical. An email to his likely already-full inbox may not be a great idea, but we are sure he will appreciate a hug or a fist bump of welcome.
The Congregation-Ministry Review Board’s mission is to serve as a conduit between the ministers and the congregation. If you ever want to discuss a problem, concern, or something that went great, don’t hesitate to contact CMRB chair Tim Martin, or any of the CMRB members: Rebecca Beachy, Barb Gibbs, Andy Ingram, Helda Montero, Donn Smith-Lopez, Nan Ryan, Brandon Telg, and Bill Zegel.
