Do we dare look forward? I’m surely not alone in being heartily sick of upheaval, uncertainty, and, all too often, unwellness a pandemic can bring.. I’m having to tell myself – and I’m coming here to say to you also – hang in there! Regardless of challenges yet unseen, I can (almost) guarantee we’ll be having a great year at UCG. From the BoB perspective, we’ve got a balanced budget, with record generosity and at least one new and exciting source of income. (Thank you, Publix!) Our incredibly resilient ministers, staff, and volunteers are making it possible for most of us to engage in community, while at the same time respecting our personal levels of risk tolerance. What’s needed now is something only we, Juan and Jane Q. Congregant can give: enthusiasm, ongoing hope, and faith that our wonderful UCG community will continue to thrive. Oh, and make our pledge and other contributions in a timely manner. That too.
