Eliot Schrefer, National Book Award Finalist and author of “Queer Ducks” will be at UCG on Sunday, August 21.
Florida native Eliot Schrefer comes to UCG to share about his new book, Queer Ducks (and Other Animals): The Natural World of Animal Sexuality, banned books and scientific discourse, and what is was like to grow up gay in Florida.. Eliot meets with our younger UCGers in the morning: during United Tribes time, he’ll be presenting on his earlier book The Lost Rainforest; and focusing on Endangered (and other topics!) with the Middle School Together and Youth United groups.
At 4pm, Bromleigh McCleneghan will facilitate a Q&A with Mr. Schrefer in the Sanctuary. This afternoon event is open to the public, and will also feature a book signing.. See eliotschrefer.com for more information, or check out his recent appearance on the Daily Show, or this op-ed in The Washington Post.
