UCG’s Compassion in Action Committee is sponsoring the Food 4 Kids program at Rawlings Elementary School again this year.  For children whose families are struggling to feed their kids, this program sends home reusable bags of food each weekend during the school year. Last year we saw a huge uptick in participation in our program, and we were supporting over 200 children every weekend. Unfortunately we don’t foresee the need in our community diminishing. A $200 donation will help feed one child for much of the school year. You can visit the table in the UCG Courtyard on Sundays this month to speak with volunteers and to learn more about this important ministry and to support the sponsorship drive with your donation.  Please make checks payable to UCG with the notation “Food 4 Kids,” or follow this link to our donations page and select “Food 4 Kids” in the drop down menu.
