Eat Local Grow Hope Global, our food security project, runs till May 2023.
In October of 2019, UCG kicked off our first ever partnership with local farms to raise funds and awareness for a women’s gardening project in Guatemala. This was through the organization, Growing Hope Globally.
Growing Hope Globally is committed to creating programs that will have a lasting impact on not just hunger, but also on the root causes of hunger, worldwide.
For the fourth year, we are again partnering with local farms to support the same project. Our hope is that YOU will consider shopping at Angeles Farm, Fruitful Earth Farms, Grove Street Market, Land of Flowers, Nicoya Farm, The Old Fashioned Farmstead, Swallowtail Farm, The Salty Dog, Sweet Southern Bees and The Vine Bakery and when you do, let them know that you are from UCG and you support GHG! By raising awareness around our local food systems, and the amazing people and organizations that feed us, we will have a deeper appreciation for our project in Guatemala.
Our project will culminate on May 4 with our traditional break-fast soup and salad supper.
Thank you for your support of both our project and our local community partners.
