Thank you to everyone who attended Sunday services on February 19th and participated in our chalk talks. We’re still collating all of your responses, but a few themes are beginning to emerge. One, is that our congregation is awesome: one response to Question 4 (what are we called to build, to bring these dreams to reality) featured a fairly obscure and terribly funny reference to the 2004 cult classic Napoleon Dynamite. The children in United Tribes shared their ideas, too: some thought we should go all in on building a UCG roller coaster, but many more dreamt of a world where no one goes hungry and where UCG continues to support Family Promise.
Watch the e-vents for more information about next steps, as we continue to solicit congregational input about possible goals and projects for a capital campaign. And, if you weren’t able to join us on the 19th, please feel free to reflect on the 4 chalk talk questions, and send your responses to Bromleigh at bromleighm@ucgainesville.org.
The questions were as follows:
What are your most audacious dreams for your family and the world?
What are your most audacious dreams for UCG?
What are the barriers to these dreams?
What are we called to build, to bring these dreams to reality?
