Care and compassion for others is a guiding principle at UCG.
USING OUR TIME AND RESOURCES FOR
THE GREATER GOOD
Compassion in Action is the benevolent arm of our UCG outreach which enables our congregation to reach out beyond the walls of our church to assist people in need. We collect and distribute goods and provide financial assistance to a wide range of community members and organizations.
Through CIA we offer Christmas gift markets for children and their families in economically-challenged areas of our city. We are the single largest supporter of the Gainesville Area AIDS Project, which offers home supplies for home-bound people living with AIDS, as well as the Gainesville Community Ministry food pantry through our monthly Food First collections.
Growing Hope Globally

Angel Gifts
In December, church members are invited to donate Christmas gifts which are then turned into a Holiday Gift Marketplace for the parents at Rawlings Elementary School. Gifts are sold at greatly reduced cost, and all the money we raise goes back to the school for their family assistance fund. get involved >>
