Board of Business June 2022

Board of Business has had a very busy month. Our month began by reviewing a report on the condition of the UCG Campus prepared by HouseMaster. The report revealed many areas in need of repair. Chief among those was the condition of the roofs on the west portion of the campus- the Education Building, the West Wing, the Kitchen and Reimer Hall. We considered three bids for the project and selected McFall Roofing as the contractor. We also appointed a project manager, Carol Barron to oversee the work. Carol has many years of experience and holds a Florida General Contractors license. We expect the work on the roofs to begin in June.

Other work consisted of reviewing the church’s financial position as of April, 2022. We have completed 33% of the church year and have received revenue equal to 40% of the budget, while year to date expenses were 33.9% of the budgeted amount. It is important to note that the summer months pose the biggest challenges to our budget. Our church work continues throughout the summer, so it is important that our members continue their support during that time.
