Clergy Corner – Talia Raymond

The youth of UCG represented you all with honor this week during their annual Work Tour.  18 of our teens gathered last week for our first “Hometown Work Tour.” By day, we worked with Rebuilding Together on two homes, one in Archer and one in Alachua.  By night, we gathered, ate, played, connected, and slept (a little) in Reimer Hall. Their hard work and willingness to learn new skills, the intentional time taken to make personal connections with the homeowners, and all the ways that they took such good care of each other this week were impressive.  They embodied Rebuilding Together’s  3 S’s: safety, stewardship, sensitivity and our church compact with honor and care. Work Tours are experiences that are unique and inspire growth in broad terms (especially this year), and these days will bind them together. Thank you for all of your support, without your pledges and care for our youngest members, significant and life-changing events like Work Tour would not be possible. Please enjoy these photos from our week together and see the slide show in the Worship service on Sunday, June 27th for more!
