It’s summer time at UCG, and we’re working our way through some incredible “Renew” activities. Hopefully you caught Dr. Stevenson’s or Imam Malik’s incredible Sunday worship services, or heard Reisa George or Barbara Kelleher’s UCG stories. Maybe you did a bit of collage, checked out Mary Fukuyama’s art in the library, or attended a “book tasting” after worship. We hope that whatever your recent connections with UCG have been, that they’ve brought a sense of rest, recharge, and renewal. If not, there’s plenty of great stuff still to come! Check out the schedule and activities on the flyer in the narthex.

In addition to coordinating our summer Renewal programming, you can count on your appointed CMRB team in these months as we’re hard at work synthesizing feedback into actionable paths forward for our congregation, mapping our support structures for our ministers and lay leadership, collaborating with other committees, and reexamining our processes, policies, and procedures based on feedback we’ve been collecting.

CMRB is charged “to serve as a conduit between the ministers and the congregation,” so when you have questions, concerns, or joys to share–we want to hear from you.

One thing I know for sure–UCG is full of loving, dedicated, and wonderful people, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with y’all.
