Jan 10 — COVID 2021 Update –  Drs. Eric Nelson and Danielle Nelson will return to UCG and give us an update on the status of COVID-19. They gave UCG an initial report on COVID early in 2020, and in this new session they will update the UCG community on recent developments and will cover questions on Vaccines, Testing, and Planning for Summer Travel. Eric Nelson is at the UF Emerging Pathogens Institute, and Danielle Nelson is with the UF Community Health and Family Medicine Dept. 

Jan 17 – Mental Health — The year 2020 has been unrelenting misery for many people. Leif Stringer will help UCGers deal with the stresses and strains that the year has brought. Leif is a certified Nonviolent Communication Trainer and Relationship Counselor living in Gainesville, and is sure to help us deal more effectively with the world we have been facing.

Jan 24 – UCG Congregational Meeting — No Sunday Seminar

Jan. 31 – The Gainesville Eight –The Gainesville Eight were a group of antiVietnam War activists indicted on charges of conspiracy to disrupt the 1972 Republican National Convention in Miami Beach. Larry Turner, a member of UCG, was involved with the group as an attorney, and later became a judge. Tony Miller will host this fascinating look back at Gainesville history.
