Epiphany Stars – Stars with YOUR special guiding word for 2022 are in baskets in the sanctuary foyer. When you attend worship and enter the foyer, find the basket, close your eyes, let a star pick you, and share its wisdom with you throughout the coming year!  If you are joining us online, click here to generate a word, or you can call the office to have one sent to you.

United Tribes – The Tribes will meet outside and masked on our K-5 playground for our lesson and games this Sunday.

Sunday Seminar – “Martin Luther King’s World House in a Changing Climate,” in Reimer Hall and live streamed on YouTube.  Martin Luther King Jr. had a vision about a World House. Stanford University’s King Institute developed a curriculum to plan building King’s World House. Join in a discussion to identify actions we can take to move Gainesville towards a more diverse, inclusive, and loving World House. For example, we could help organize a day of activities with other faith communities and play soccer, picnic, or sing songs of peace. Helen Warren, from the Racial Justice Committee, will facilitate the discussion.

The Church office will be closed this Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. 

Racial Justice Committee will be selling all sizes of BLM t-shirts the in the courtyard between services. Martin Luther King Day is Monday, January 17, 2022. Help us make UCG a big presence on Monday, January 17, at the march that day. Cost of shirts is $10.00.

The Racial Justice Committee invites you to participate in any of these events in honor or Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will be a group of UCGers marching in the parade on Monday, January 17, starting at noon at Bo Diddley Plaza and concluding at Citizens Field. Join us!

Rachel Kirk, a daughter of our church, will be ordained into ministry in the United Church of Christ in our Sanctuary at 2 pm on January 23rd. This is a big day for Rachel and her family, and a big day for us as a church! Whether you know Rachel or not, please join us for her service. You can learn more about Rachel at our Sunday Seminar on the 23rd, when she will tell us about her path to ministry and what her time at UCG has done to inspire her way. Please join us for this important and festive day in the life of our church.
