Food First – CIA is accepting non-perishable food items for the Gainesville Community Ministries this coming Sunday, June 6. Also please also consider making a monetary donation during the month of June to Gainesville Community Ministries. Your donation will support their yearly project to purchase bulk food items from USDA for pennies on the dollar. Make your check out to UCG and in the memo line write “Gnv. Community Ministries”.  At the end of June, Catherine Cake will write one BIG check to GCM from our UCG Family. Thank You!

The UCG drum circle meets on the first and third Thursday of the month from 5:30-6:30 in the UCG courtyard. All are welcome. The next circle is this Thursday June 3. Please bring your drum, chair, mask, and percussion instruments. On June 13, we will resume childcare for our nursery/preschool side.  Children under kindergarten will report to the small playground with a parent to be checked in each week.  Online advanced registration is required and we are capping that registration at 10.  If you decide not to attend please cancel your registration so someone else may have the spot.

Ray Meeks’ Birthday – This is Ray Meeks’ fifth birthday since being released from death row. He is now at Madison Correctional Institute,382 S.W. MCI Way Madison, FL 32340 If you write to him there address it to Douglas Raymond Meeks #046346. Every year we receive contributions for Ray at Christmas and in June for his birthday. Family Promise Raffle – UCGers Phoebe Papadi and Dawn Beachy, along with other members of the Gainesville Modern Quilt Guild, designed and constructed a gorgeous Gator inspired quilt so that Family Promise of Gainesville may raffle it off in effort to raise awareness and funds for their housing programs. You may purchase tickets for the raffle here .
