Please mark your calendars for the Spring Congregational Meeting confirmed for Sunday, May 22, 2022 which will begin promptly at 12:00 pm. I am excited to announce that this will be our first in-person congregational meeting in the Sanctuary in almost 2 1/2 years. The meeting will follow that Sunday’s Confirmation Sunday and Children’s Sabbath service at 10:00 am. We will hear some important information on various topics:
- Information from the COVID task force on our community’s current endemic status and our safety guidelines
- Latest news on the Vinery program which connects young adults in our University community to UCG
- Update from the Compensation Committee on our new compensation philosophy and the group’s next steps
- Reports from Financial Sustainability and Stewardship Committee and Board of Business
In addition to these updates, we have important action items:
- Approval of the minutes from the Winter Congregational Meeting
- Approval of the minutes from the Special Charter School Congregational Meeting
- Approval and installation of the slate of new Church Officers and Board & Committee Chairs
Zoom Information
- For those on Zoom we will utilize the polling system within Zoom for voting
- In order to maintain one official channel or flow of information, we will be restricting the use of the chat function with all questions and comments conducted aloud
- To help us facilitate quorum and voting, if more than one voting member plans to be sitting together at the Zoom meeting, please reach out to me (donnsmith1@gmail.com) in advance
Proxy Voting
- If a member is unable to attend a Congregational Meeting, the member may authorize another member to vote in their place
- This authorization is to be in writing, valid for one meeting only
- Proxies shall not be counted in determining the quorum
