Sunday Seminars – April 2024

The UCG Sunday Seminar Committee is proud to announce a lineup of coming seminars we are certain you will enjoy. Join us every Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. in Reimer Hall or on Zoom.

April 7 – “Shadows of Emmett Till” – Bob Newman will discuss his photo book on Emmett Till which showcases archival images of Jim Crow times, Emmett Till, his funeral, the trial of Roy Bryant and JW Milam, and selected civil rights images related to Emmett Till. The book also includes contemporary photographs of areas of the Mississippi Delta that remain from that era, as well as essays, poems, and maps that provide context to the photographs.

April 14 – All Church Retreat. No worship service or seminar.

April 21 – Environmental Conservation: The Adventures of the Golden Lion Tamarin – A story of hope, survival and resurgence by Christine Engels.

April 28 – Spiritual Practice for the Wary, the Weary, and the Wondering – Exploring barriers and bridges to meaningful spiritual practice, with Tony Miller and Sandy Reimer.
