The UCG Sunday Seminar Committee is proud to announce a line-up of seminars we are certain you will enjoy. Seminars are in-person and on Zoom on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. Meeting ID: 829 6457 0385 Passcode: 1624
March 2 – “What’s Coming Up Weatherwise” with special guest, meteorologist Bill Quinlan. Retired Channel 20 meteorologist Bill Quinlan will share our upcoming forecast. . . for the next couple of decades! Recently retired after 27 years as Channel 20’s meteorologist, you will appreciate his clear explanations of what to expect here in Florida, with impacts of climate change described in his straightforward style.
March 9 – “Spiritual Diversity at UCG” In a church of Christian orientation, united, not by common faith or shared ideas of the divine, but by shared values and social goals, how do we as individuals –whether we are firmly within the Christian faith or at the margins of God however known–experience UCG as a spiritual home? A panel of UCG members of varying faith backgrounds will share their own answer to the question above. Discussion, comments, and questions will follow.
March 16 – “Masculinities & Why They Matter” with Gina Marks. Gender identity has been a hot-button topic for years in the American zeitgeist — but what does the seemingly most preferred and privileged gender identity mean? In this presentation, we will discuss masculinities (yes, plural!), gender and sex, and the current American sociopolitical climate that relies so heavily on these concepts.
March 23 – “Dream Magic – Unlocking the Mysteries” with Larry and Sandy Reimer. Utilizing methods developed by Jeremy Taylor, who did intensive study and thousands of case histories on dreams, the Reimers will open up the world of dreams; how to remember and interpret dreams, learn the universal symbolism of dreaming, and change your life using their dreams.
March 30 – “Pilgrimage to Italy” with Andy Bachmann. When Andy retired from ministry at UCG, members collected a love offering for him to embark on a pilgrimage of his choosing. Last year, Andy went to Italy to walk a portion of the Via Francignia through the Tuscan region of Italy. Come hear why Andy is so passionate about pilgrimage, what he learned on his journey, how you too could incorporate pilgrimage into your spiritual journey. (He has some pretty fabulous pictures, too.)
