May 4 – “Behavioral Covenant” – Join the Congregational Life Team for another exciting seminar on May 4! We will be discussing the behavioral covenant draft, holding space for reflection and feedback, and answering your questions about what a behavioral covenant is and how it will support our life of faith (however known).

May 11 – “Building a Welcoming Community” – Lauren Poe, former Gainesville mayor, and currently CEO/president of the Greater Gainesville International Center, will share the mission of GGIC, how it works to build a welcoming and affirming Gainesville our international and immigrant community, and the challenges and opportunities we have during this unique political climate.

 May 18 – No seminar due to spring congregational meeting. 

May  25—“Buckle up”—with Paul Licata, PhD (Multimedia Holocaust Literature). A PowerPoint presentation on some Casually observed coincidences highlighting similarities in the transitions from the post WWI Weimar Republic to the rise of Hitler and Nazism and the post WWII evolution of America to the rise of Donald Trump and the Maga movement. The presentation includes glimpses of artistic, economic and the social expansion and contraction of liberal to radical right values.
