9/3 – Labor Day weekend, no seminar

9/10 – “Webster’s Faith Vocabulary, Volume 1,” with Daniel Webster– In this seminar we will explore some key words, including defining, comparing, and contrasting key oft used religious terms including faith and belief through the lens of a progressive religious perspective. If time allows, we may explore some other words connected to who we are as UCG, or other terms may come up later (if there is ever a Volume 2 or 3). Daniel Webster will be utilizing the premise of the book Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith by Kathleen Norris as a launching point.

9/17“Supporting Immigrant Rights” – Veronica Robleto, director and legal navigator of the Human Rights Coalition of Alachua County, will share how new anti-immigrant bills are impacting local people. Hear about HRC’s ID Drive, accompaniment program, and immigrant hotline. Learn how you can help by using your own community ID.

9/24 – Chris Reimer will be interviewed by UCG member Skip Everitt on the headline-grabbing upset in the golf world over pros leaving the PGA for the Saudi Arabian LIV tour. Chris will talk about what’s going on inside this bizarre world of golf and the implications of Saudi money flowing into US sports. Chris grew up in UCG and until recently was vice president for communications for the PGA Tour. He now has his own golf public relations company.
