New way to connect! If you would like to stay updated with pictures, announcements, and discussions about United Tribes and other Children’s Programming via Facebook, we invite you to join this United Tribes Families Private Facebook group. For safety, only parents of registered United Tribes children will be admitted to the group. We have a photo release statement on our registration form for UCG accounts. We ask that any pictures including children that are not your own not be taken from the page and shared on your personal social media accounts. Thank you! We hope that this will help us better connect and share what we are up to in United Tribes!
January has been a wonderful month for the United Tribes, see some highlights below!
We welcome your children to join us in the month of February as we finish up our lessons on “God’s Blue Earth,” celebrating the sacredness of water. These lessons are helping us think about water in the context of sacred stories while learning about our environment and our role in protecting it. Each week we focus on a different topic. The month of February includes:
- Week 1: Candace King from CIA joins us to talk about a special project involving giving. The Baptism of Jesus is our scripture lesson as we talk about water as a blessing.
- Week 2: Jesus Stills the Waves; how can we use our resources (including water) to calm ourselves in difficult or scary times?
- Week 3: Gathering at the Well; Communities gather around water because it is life-giving, and so is community!
- Week 4: We will begin our Lenten series that will use the same themes as the worship services. We hope that you will be able to discuss the word and theme of each Sunday together!
If your child is not registered for United Tribes, please be sure to grab a slip when you pick them up on Sunday, click here to fill one out electronically, or email me juliac@ucgainesville.org and I can send you one via email.
We look forward to seeing you all!!
Be blessed! -Julia
