Hello Families!
We are excited to have in-person outdoor church again. Gathering together again requires that every person involved act with an abundance of caution and we hope to answer your questions here in one place, so we ask that you read this carefully.
When we have childcare, it will be provided from fifteen minutes before each service to five minutes after each service, so 8:55-9:45 and 10:55-11:45 depending on which service you register your child for.
Children MUST be pre-registered for each session they are going to attend. Use the church registration sign-up to do this.
To bring children to our care, an adult must walk with them to the playground entrance that is connected to our West parking lot and physically check them in with our childcare aide who will ask some basic safety questions of the adult.
All children are required to wear masks for the entire time they are in our care.
Care will be provided outdoors, on our playgrounds therefore it is also weather dependent. If UCG decides to have church that day, childcare is happening. If UCG decides to cancel for bad weather, we also cancel for bad weather.
When children attend for the first time the adult bringing them to care will need to spend a few minutes completing an updated registration form. We keep these on file.
Each week we hope to provide a story, prayer, and play. We will not be providing any foods or beverages. Please make sure children are prepared for that in advance. Also, our water fountain will be closed. Children may bring a water bottle with them.
Hands will be sanitized as children enter the playground area.
Efforts will be made to minimize the number of children at any one play structure at any given time.
Please make sure that your child does not have any of the following symptoms for at least 72 hours prior to attending our care, without any medication:
- Fever of 100.4 or higher
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Chills
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Muscle aches
- Any other symptoms identified by the CDC as associated with Covid-19
When in doubt please use an abundance of caution during this public health emergency.
If your children become sick within 7 days of attending UCG, please notify the front office immediately.
Dates are as follows:
April 4- No Childcare. Children may attend services with their family. Children who haven’t already received one, will be given goody bags including Easter eggs for your home egg hunts.
April 11, 18, 25 Childcare will be provided during our services.
We look forward to being able to see the children in person again! We have missed them more than words can express. Until then, be well!
Blessings,
Keri Trosper & Board of Youth, Children & Family
