Thank you to everyone who completed the recent women’s retreat survey and provided so many suggestions on how to make the retreat a fun, meaningful, and comfortable experience for all participants regardless of whether they are newcomers or have attended many times. Based on your feedback, a one-day retreat will be offered at UCG on Saturday, March 2 in addition to the women’s overnight at Camp Weed on January 19-21. Some of the key benefits mentioned in the survey for continuing a one-day retreat were making new connections, being more affordable, requiring a shorter time commitment, providing childcare, and being more convenient – especially for caregivers and those who prefer not to travel.
Our theme for both retreats is Reflections: Friendships and Moonbeams! Some of the same workshops and experiences from the overnight will be offered at the one-day retreat in addition to plenty of different options. Registration for the women’s overnight retreat will begin on Sunday, December 3. If you want to help at one or both retreats by offering a session, providing music during worship, leading a home group, or assisting with administrative tasks like planning and registration, please contact Laura Robertson at alurajuly@gmail.com or Jane Emmerée at emmeree@gmail.com.
