You may recall that our committee was formed as a diverse group to reflect on UCG’s fiscal and budget process and to make advisory recommendations to Council Exec and Church Council.

Our members are: Jeremy Archer, Tracy Bachmann, Star Bradbury, John Engels, Tony Miller, Karen Johnson, Jerry Steinberg, Andrew Ragsdale, Scott Winzeler and me, Rebecca Beachy. Bromleigh McCleneghan, Donn Smith-Lopez and Barb Gibbs are also ex-officio members. I was elected chairperson for the committee at our first meeting earlier in March. I’m always in awe of the many talents UCG members bring to committee work and am excited to strategize alongside this group who have a great depth of experience in organizational leadership, development, fundraising, sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, and tremendous care for the future of our community.

We are next meeting in-person for a lengthier planning session at the very end of March to create a framework for our work ahead. We look forward to diving into these efforts and will continue to provide updates for the congregation as we work to ensure a sustainable financial future for our beloved UCG. Rebecca Beachy, Chair.
