Women’s Retreat: January 31- February 2, 2025

Through the Looking Glass: Finding Light at the End of the Rabbit Hole

Participants have described past Women’s Retreats as one of their favorite UCG activities; a warm, welcoming place for newcomers; and a time to make new friendships and deepen current ones. The retreat is open to all in the wider UCG community who identify as a woman.

New for 2025: Join us at UCG at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, following the Friday 8:15 a.m. Morning Prayer group, as we kick off Women’s Retreat weekend with a wonderful half-day retreat onsite at UCG. We are planning a lovely morning with breakout sessions, followed by lunch, surprises and a closing worship service!

Our time at Camp Weed in Live Oak, FL begins later on Friday with check-in at 4 p.m. for anyone who would like to arrive early for a relaxing dinner at 6 p.m. and unstructured connections on Friday evening, with the bonus of waking up at Camp on Saturday morning for the weekend retreat. Similar to past years, you may join us at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, for a day-only option, or join us for the entire weekend, which ends at 11 a.m. on Sunday, February 2.

Participants will be invited to:

● Reflect on treasured friendships and memories

● Create new experiences and build community

● Delve deeper into how friends enhance our lives

● Reflect on how to be their own best friend

Programming at both the day retreat onsite and weekend sessions at Camp Weed will include art, yoga, writing, music, and meditation. We will also include small group discussions with 5-7 other participants (called home groups), opportunities for one-on-one connections, and a worship service.

Registration begins January 3, with in-person registration assistance on Sundays, January 5 and 12. Find us after the 10 a.m. service in Seminar C. You can also sign up online, or in the office during the week.

Cost: The price will range from $10 for our onsite day retreat on Friday, January 31, to $280 for the full weekend, depending on your choice of single or double occupancy for lodging. We have scholarship funding to assist with your participation. Please don’t let finances hinder your attendance! Each registration tier will include all related supplies and meals. Credit card, check or cash will be accepted.

Complimentary childcare will be provided at UCG for the Friday 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. event; please select upon registering.

Please note: no childcare is available for the broader weekend retreat at Camp Weed.

Please contact Tami Herchel, Director of Programming and Development, with any questions you may have! We look forward to co-creating this beautiful weekend with you.
