Dear UCGers and friends,
As we head into our busiest time of year, I’d like to remind everyone that we have updated the office hours to help our ministers and staff focus on impending deadlines, special projects, and finding time for continuing education. Please be patient with our staff as we try to implement these office hour boundaries. I have posted the office hours below and they are also on our church calendar at https://ucgainesville.org/events/ or on our website here: https://ucgainesville.org/location-hours/.
Even though the office is closed, our staff may schedule a meeting with you during those non-office hours or will respond via email or phone call. We are indeed working and will assist you as soon as we are able.
What if I decide to stop by? Wonderful! We’d be happy to see you during our posted office hours.
What if I show up and it’s not open hours? You may see us dive under our desks! Just kidding! Please be understanding with us as we may not answer the door or briefly speak with you in the doorway.
What if I just want to drop something off? You can place it next to the front office door or there is a safety deposit box in the office window. Leave a note on it so we know what or who it’s for. If it’s for a special collection like the Rural Women’s Project or the angel tree gifts, keep an eye out in our bulletins or weekly emails on where that drop off room is. The front office may have a note on the door where to drop off these items as well.
What if I made an appointment with a minister or staff member? We will let you in! We share our schedules weekly and should be given a notice you are coming to the office.
What if Sundays are my only days at UCG? The staff, moderators, boards and committee chairs all have a mailbox in the office’s work room. Feel free to utilize these mailboxes and communicate with the person that you left something for them in the office. Zakara is also here from 9:30 – 12:30 p.m. to help assist but be patient with her as she may not be behind the desk due to other Sunday tasks. The lost and found shelf is a great area to leave something for another church member or friend but label clearly who it is for. A handy dandy clip board is hanging from my office door if you wish to leave me a quick note about the church’s buildings or grounds, or general needs.
Thank you everyone for your continued care and consideration as we work through finding the right processes to keep our ministers and staff successful!
